struggling to get here and finding out that the struggle has just started. Tuition, food, Winter clothing, books, hygiene products, extremely devalued money from home if any, etc. Not being allowed to work. How do you survive

We are a 501c 3 nonprofit organization representing African professionals in the Pittsburgh Area.
The purpose of our fundraising party is to help fund our scholarship. The party will consist of a African food, African music, silent auction, and live auction. The party and part of the scholarship is funded by participating members & families of PAAPO. Our scholarship is based on need and we intend for it to assist African student(s) with books, meals, and etc… We are currently posting our scholarship at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Carnegie Mellon University, Robert Morris University, and Community College of Allegheny County. Since 2010 we have awarded more than 12 scholarship across the Pittsburgh area. Additional information can be found
