  Pittsburgh Area African Professional Organization (PAAPO) Seed Need-Based Education Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

 To apply for this scholarship, applicant must meet the following criteria

AFRICAN DESCENT

Applicants must be of African descent,

ENROLLEMENT LOCATION

Must be in an institution of higher learning in the Pittsburgh, PA Region

FINANCIAL NEED

Must demostrate a genuine need for financial assistance.

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Must demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance

COMPLETE  APPLICTION

The scholarship application must be fully completed

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Submit a statement of financial need or hardship. Include biographical information and (if possible) career goals. Maximum length: 500 words.

ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT

Provide an official transcript from the most recent semester or from high school (for college freshmen).

PROOF OF ENROLLMENT

Must be currently enrolled in a higher education institution and provide proof during the award year

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

Submit one recommendation letter from: A school administrator An advisor OR someone knowledgeable about your life experience in the U.S. Family members and friends are not accepted.

APPLICATION TIMELINE

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed twice a year.

Application Submission Deadline: August 15th (for September 15 Response) and November 15th (For January 15 Response)..
